Orthokeratology, often referred to as OrthoK is a non-surgical, non-invasive, fully reversible technique that uses specially designed gas-permeable "corneal molds" to gently reshape the front surface of the eye (the cornea). The cornea's shape plays a crucial role in how light is focused on the light sensitive retina. By wearing these molds overnight, we can correct myopia (nearsightedness) and astigmatism. Additionally, for children whose vision gets worse each year, OrthoK can slow down Myopic Progression!
